I decided to try the fish and chips here, but sadly it wasn’t the highlight of my visit. The fish had a bit of an unpleasant smell and just didn’t have the freshness or flavour you’d hope for—it’s probably one of the least enjoyable versions I’ve had. A bit of a letdown, as I was expecting more. That said, not everything disappointed. The juice was genuinely tasty and refreshing, a nice balance that helped brighten up the meal. The overall experience wasn’t the best for me, but there were still small positives that made it worthwhile to try once. It may not be my go-to spot for fish and chips, but perhaps other menu items would be a better fit for next time.

Classic old school corner shop burger! Generous amount of fresh ingredients are well put together creating tasty burger. They also do great thick cut chips as well. We usually get their burger deal - Works burger combo with thick cut chips and a can of soft drink at $12. Great value.

What I love is the consistency. The cod is always huge, the chips never oily, potato cakes are also great. Tonight we had the biggest tastiest plain hamburger ever. Husband and wife run this shop, always smiling and food is cooked right and comes pretty quick. Plus they are so cheap. We only ever get take away, but, the have the odd table and chairs if you want to eat there. Always Corrie St Seafood come out tops for us, above all others in the area.
